
HVAC Technician II
JOB SUMMARY:
Perform a variety of basic technical task related to the installation, service and repair of all refrigeration, air conditioning, and water-based equipment, as well as facilities maintenance activities with thorough troubleshooting and diagnosing ability.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration, ventilation, air conditioning and mechanical systems and equipment.
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently, including afterhours.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
- Assisting with customers' queries.
- Following established safety rules, regulations, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least two (3) to five (8) years of experience in a combination of two or more skilled trades including knowledge of and ability to use tools materials and methods.
- HVAC Technical School degree.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- PR Licensed Refrigeration Technician.
- EPA Universal licensed.
- Own power and hand tools.
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation (OSHA 30 HRS is a plus).
- Bilingual, English and Spanish.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Eye for detail. An eye for detail is going to be an essential skill needed in carpentry.
- Good math skills. Mathematical skills are an essential area that you will need to excel in.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates indoors and outdoors on many types of buildings and construction projects.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Typically associated with this type of position including but not limited to:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk up to 8 hours at a time.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Ability to use arms to reach above shoulder and below waist frequently.
- Ability to use hands for simple grasping and fine manipulation frequently.
- Ability to balance, bend, climb, crawl, and squat frequently.
- Ability to be exposed to marked changes in humidity and temperature frequently.

- Reports to the Service Supervisor.
