
HVAC CONTROL AND BUILDING AUTOMATION SALES PROFESSIONAL (Entry Level)
JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an Entry-Level Sales Professional to join our HVAC Control and Building Automation division. This position presents an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to embark on a career in technical sales. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship to support business development efforts, foster relationships with new and existing customers, and collaborate with our engineering and project delivery teams to create customized automation solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities across various market sectors, including healthcare, food service, pharmaceutical, and industrial.
- Support the development of proposals and presentations for HVAC control and building automation systems.
- Acquire knowledge and effectively communicate the features and benefits of automation and analytics platforms such as WebCTRL, Tridium, SkySpark, and others.
- Participate in site visits, customer meetings, and project walkthroughs.
- Maintain accurate records of customers and opportunities using CRM tools.
- Collaborate with estimating and engineering teams to provide solutions that align with customer needs and budgets.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies through ongoing training and mentorship.
- Adhere to established safety rules and regulations, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, HVAC, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong interest in HVAC systems, controls, energy management, or automation technologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to quickly learn technical products and concepts.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and a strong desire for professional growth.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Puerto Rico.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Strong attention to detail, crucial for success in this role.
- Good mathematical skills are essential.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and control circuits.
- Meticulous and precise in all tasks.
- Skilled in detailed work and installing fixtures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not carry supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role involves working both indoors and outdoors across various building and construction projects.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Frequent use of arms to reach above shoulder and below waist.
- Frequent hand use for simple grasping and fine manipulation.
- Ability to balance, bend, climb, crawl, and squat frequently.
- Ability to tolerate marked changes in humidity and temperature.
SALARY RANGE & BENEFITS:
