ASI is seeking a skilled and customer-focused HVAC Technician III to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration, air conditioning, and water-based systems. This role is responsible for diagnosing system issues, executing preventative maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance of HVAC equipment across various facilities. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting abilities, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose problems and failures in air conditioning and refrigeration systems to determine repair or replacement needs.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance to ensure continued operation of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Clean HVAC equipment including coils, condensation pans, drain lines, pumps, and cooling towers.
  • Prepare detailed service reports for all work performed to ensure compliance and proper documentation.
  • Respond to emergency service calls during and after regular working hours.
  • Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize and complete service and repair tasks.
  • Operate refrigerant recovery equipment in compliance with EPA guidelines.
  • Coordinate schedules with supervisors, clients, and dispatch to minimize service disruptions.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to work orders, communication, and reporting.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality service standards.
  • Provide and maintain personal small tools required to perform HVAC services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or technical school graduate.
  • State Licensed Refrigeration Technician.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • 3–6 years of HVAC or refrigeration experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain valid travel documentation as required.

  • Frequent reaching above shoulder level and below the waist.
  • Frequent use of hands for grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Frequent bending, climbing, crawling, and squatting.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature and humidity conditions.
