Job Description

ASI Government is seeking an Engagement Consultant to support the day-to-day delivery of strategic consulting engagements focused on business transformation to include developing and scaling AI prototypes. Reporting to senior ASI engagement leadership and working alongside experienced domain and technical staff who drive the strategic vision and technical work products, the Engagement Consultant serves as the operational backbone of the engagement — orchestrating workstreams, managing the rhythm of client and team interactions, and ensuring ASI delivers cohesively as the prime contractor. The Engagement Consultant ensures that all workstreams are aligned to program priorities, contract requirements, quality standards, and measurable operational results. The successful candidate is a polished, organized, and confident professional with strong consulting instincts to engage effectively with senior client stakeholders, experienced ASI staff, and teaming partner staff. This role requires a leader who combines client mission understanding, client-facing presence, delivery discipline, and the ability to translate trusted relationships into sustained impact and growth.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with direct influence on client trust, mission outcomes, and company growth within ASI’s rapidly expanding AI & Automation Practice along side our Strategy and Organization Development Practice.

Engagement and Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain trusted, day-to-day working relationships with stakeholders across the engagement
  • Ensure ASI is appropriately represented in key client meetings, working sessions, and decision forums as the prime contractor
  • Provide strategic advice, issue resolution, and actionable recommendations to achieve mission outcomes and exceptional client delivery
  • Support senior ASI leaders in managing client expectations, communications, and engagement cadence
  • Lead status reviews, decision forums, stakeholder engagements, and senior-level check-ins/working sessions to maintain alignment on priorities and decisions
  • Coordinate with internal subject matter experts, clients, and teaming partner staff to remove barriers, accelerate decisions, and ensure recommendations translate into lasting client impact
  • Serve as a consistent, professional point of contact who reinforces ASI's role and brand throughout the engagement
  • Identify opportunities to deepen ASI's client relationships and expand workshare; surface insights and openings to ASI engagement leadership

Delivery Coordination and Execution

  • Oversee execution of all contract tasks, deliverables, and workstreams
  • Develop and refine hypotheses, workplans, and client-ready analyses
  • Synthesize findings into clear, decision-ready recommendations and facilitate alignment with internal and teaming partner staff and senior level clients on actions and next steps
  • Support piloting, refinement, implementation, and change management activities led by technical and domain staff
  • Coordinate and track all meetings, presentations, and AI prototype demonstrations across the engagement
  • Maintain a comprehensive view of all open actions across content development, tool development, ATO approval, stakeholder communications/engagements, change management activities, etc.
  • Drive resolution of delivery, stakeholder, and operational issues
  • Develop and produce weekly status presentations and other recurring engagement reporting
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and emerging issues; escalate to senior staff with proposed mitigations
  • Track decisions, follow-ups, and commitments from client and internal meetings to ensure disciplined follow-up and on-time completion

Team and Subcontractor Coordination

  • Bridge content development, technical, and subcontractor teams to ensure information flows efficiently and dependencies/issues are surfaced early
  • Coordinate day-to-day collaboration with the teaming partner, ensuring ASI's prime role is consistently reinforced in joint activities
  • Support senior ASI staff in maintaining clear roles, responsibilities, and handoffs between ASI and teaming partner
  • Assist with other workstreams as needed to meet critical deadlines

Strategic Contribution and Problem-Solving

  • Contribute strategic ideas and practical solutions that advance client outcomes and engagement performance
  • Attend domain and technical meetings with sufficient fluency to identify outstanding actions, emerging risks, and opportunities — even without deep technical AI expertise
  • Translate technical progress into client-ready updates, talking points, and recommendations
  • Bring a continuous-improvement mindset to engagement operations, identifying ways to streamline coordination and reporting

Financial and Operational Management

  • Monitor contract performance and resource utilization
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation or corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, reporting obligations, and internal management expectations
  • Support program reviews and executive decision-making with accurate, timely data.

Growth and Account Expansion

  • Identify follow-on opportunities
  • Partner with capture teams on growth, recompete planning, and targeted new work
  • Contribute client insight and engagement strategy to proposals and account planning
  • Help position ASI as a long-term strategic acquisition and AI partner to DLA
  • Support the broader productization of ASI’s AI/RPA toolset for expansion to other agencies and departments

  • Demonstrated ability to understand, identify, and assess emerging technologies—particularly artificial intelligence (AI)—to support process improvements, operational efficiency, and organizational modernization efforts
  • Ability to participate in technical discussions and translate outcomes into actions, risks, and follow-ups without requiring deep technical AI expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with senior client stakeholders, experienced ASI staff, and teaming partners
  • Proven ability in building strong client and team relationships

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
