Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

ASI Government provides government leaders with the expertise they need to navigate acquisition and organizational challenges so they can make an impact and achieve their goals. For over 30 years, ASI has transformed the way government does business, impacting over 70 government agencies across the civilian, defense, and intelligence communities.

Do you thrive on creating unique and impactful value for Federal clients? Are you passionate about partnering with clients and collaborating to create solutions? Do you enjoy the opportunity to drive change that impacts our nation?

We are looking for smart, curious, driven individuals to join us in partnering with our client to help them solve some of the nation’s most challenging problems. ASI Government serves as a trusted adviser to government leaders seeking improved performance, enhanced organization effectiveness, and strategic change.

ASI Government’s rapidly growing Department of War (DoW) portfolio supports defense leaders in achieving mission-critical outcomes for our nation. Our teams work across military service branches and other DoW organizations to address complex challenges in acquisition, industrial-base resilience, logistics and readiness, emerging technology, workforce, and organizational transformation. We bring together deep mission expertise and rigorous consulting capabilities to translate strategic priorities into practical, measurable results.

Position Overview

ASI Government is seeking an Engagement Lead (Management Consultant) to lead our support to the Air Force B-1 System Program Office (SPO) at Tinker Air Force Base. The initial 16-week effort will improve how the SPO manages fleet readiness by establishing a current-state baseline, assessing the data and integration landscape, prioritizing and designing a minimum viable product, and developing an implementation roadmap. The Engagement Lead is the senior, accountable consulting leader for this work: framing the problem with SPO leadership, owning the integrated workplan and quality of every deliverable, and making sure recommendations become routines the SPO actually runs.

This role requires both consulting leadership and genuine weapon-system credibility. You will bring the readiness and sustainment context to distinguish how decisions are actually made from how a process appears on paper, and the consulting discipline to turn incomplete data, cross-organizational dependencies, and ambiguous operational problems into clear decisions, requirements, and executable plans. The role is hands-on: you will personally structure analyses, build and refine PowerPoint and Excel deliverables, and run working sessions with SPO leaders, logisticians, engineers, program managers, depot and production personnel, supply-chain stakeholders, and an integrated consulting and digital team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Leadership & Trusted Advisory: Serve as the senior day-to-day consulting interface with B-1 SPO leadership; frame ambiguous readiness problems into clear points of view and practical recommendations; and design and facilitate executive meetings and decision forums.
  • Current-State Readiness Baseline: Lead interviews and working sessions that document current readiness processes, decision rights, information flows, constraints, and pain points across program management, product support, engineering, depot and field maintenance, and supply.
  • Future-State Readiness Management: Define the future-state approach, including decision forums, roles, key performance indicators, business rules, escalation paths, and recurring management routines that can be built into the SPO’s operating rhythm.
  • Data, Requirements & MVP Leadership: Partner with data engineers and architects to assess readiness data sources, quality, and integration constraints, and translate operational needs into use cases, analytic requirements, data definitions, and acceptance criteria for a prioritized minimum viable product.
  • Readiness Driver Analysis: Lead or guide root-cause analyses of readiness drivers, including maintenance, supply, MICAP, depot production, engineering, and reliability issues, using FMEA or comparable structured methods.
  • Consulting Delivery & Quality: Own the engagement from problem definition through roadmap, including scope, hypotheses, workplan, milestones, and risks; personally develop and refine executive-ready briefings, process maps, requirements, trackers, and the implementation roadmap.
  • Stakeholder & Partner Integration: Engage depot, wing and squadron, supply-chain, DLA, and other enterprise partners to validate findings and remove barriers, and define clear roles, interfaces, and decision rights with teaming partners within an integrated team.
  • Account Growth & Commercial Stewardship: Manage staffing, budget, and delivery risk; build durable ASI relationships across the B-1 enterprise; and identify and shape follow-on opportunities with ASI growth and capture leaders.

Required

  • 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in management, strategy, or transformation consulting (or a comparable client-services environment) leading engagements or major workstreams with direct accountability for senior-client relationships and executive-level outputs.
  • 8+ years of Department of War experience in aviation readiness, weapon-system sustainment, logistics, maintenance, supply chain, engineering, product support, or program management (may overlap with consulting experience).
  • Direct experience supporting the B-1, another Air Force bomber, or a comparably complex Air Force weapon system in a program office, depot, operational unit, supply-chain organization, or sustainment command.
  • Working knowledge of the relationships among program management, product support, depot maintenance, field maintenance, engineering, supply support, and operational readiness.
  • Demonstrated record of assessing current-state processes and converting findings into a future-state operating approach, prioritized improvements, and an executable implementation roadmap.
  • Ability to define and interpret readiness measures, identify underlying drivers, and connect metrics to authoritative data sources and management decisions.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills, including the ability to personally structure analyses and build executive-ready story lines without a large support team.
  • Exceptional facilitation, executive presence, and written communication; able to lead discussions with senior leaders and technical specialists and drive decisions in the room.
  • Strong program management across scope, schedule, quality, resources, risk, and follow-through, including coordinating roles and work scope with teaming partners.
  • Experience identifying, shaping, and advancing follow-on work from existing client relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and meet Tinker Air Force Base installation access and suitability requirements.
  • Ability to work on site at Tinker Air Force Base.

Preferred

  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
  • Current or prior B-1 experience within the B-1 Division (AFLCMC/WBN), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Sustainment Center, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex, Air Force Global Strike Command, the 448th Supply Chain Management Wing, DLA, or a B-1 operational or maintenance unit.
  • Prior experience as a Product Support Manager, logistician, maintenance or production leader, systems engineer, program manager, or readiness analyst, combined with subsequent consulting leadership experience.
  • Experience with readiness dashboards, digital-product or minimum-viable-product development, data integration, or data governance, including familiarity with Air Force readiness and logistics data systems (e.g., REMIS, WSMIS-RAM, D035A, D043).
  • Experience performing MICAP, FMEA, reliability, availability, or supply-chain root-cause analysis for aviation readiness.
  • Experience in a top-tier strategy or management consulting firm, or a consulting environment with comparable standards for client leadership, analytics, and executive communications.
  • Master’s degree or other relevant advanced degree.

Why Join ASI Government?

  • Help B-1 leaders identify readiness risks earlier and make better-supported fleet decisions.
  • Shape a usable readiness-management capability that will be designed for integration into the SPO's recurring processes.
  • Work across the program office, depot, supply chain, operational units, and enterprise support organizations rather than within a single functional silo.
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package available on our careers site.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
