About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation to support a large-scale cloud transformation initiative. This is a full-time, remote opportunity open to candidates based in Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, or Peru.

This role will play a critical part in migrating enterprise applications and infrastructure from AWS to GCP while establishing modern DevOps practices, scalable cloud platforms, and deployment automation. As a hands-on engineer, you will work closely with software developers, architects, security teams, and SREs to build and automate cloud infrastructure, streamline delivery processes, and enable engineering teams to deploy applications efficiently and securely.

Given the scope of this AWS-to-GCP migration, candidates should bring strong, hands-on AWS experience along with working exposure to GCP.

What You Will Do

Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

• Design, build, and automate cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP using Terraform.
• Create reusable Infrastructure as Code modules and deployment frameworks that improve consistency and scalability.

AWS to GCP Migration

• Support the migration of applications, services, and environments from AWS to GCP.

CI/CD & Deployment

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines that automate application and infrastructure deployments.

Container Platforms

• Implement and manage container platforms using Kubernetes (EKS and GKE).

Security & Compliance

• Embed security, governance, and compliance controls into cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to drive DevOps best practices and improve developer productivity.

What You Bring

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Experience building and operating solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience supporting cloud migration or modernization initiatives, ideally AWS to GCP.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Experience with Kubernetes platforms such as EKS and/or GKE.
• Experience working in Agile and DevSecOps environments.

Technical Expertise

• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Solid understanding of networking, IAM, cloud security, and DevOps best practices.
• Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Experience working in multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization strategies.

Certifications

• AWS and/or GCP certifications preferred.
