About the Role
AspenView is seeking a Senior Data Architect & Modeler with a strong functional and business profile to join a data modernization initiative for a financial services client. In this role, you will bridge the business and the data platform, leading the conceptual and logical design of industry data models that enable data-intensive applications and analytics across banking products, channels, and risk domains.

You will partner closely with business stakeholders, application teams, and data engineers to translate business requirements into robust dimensional models delivered through Data Mesh or Data Warehouse architectures. This is a full-time position, contractor agreement, with 100% dedication to the project, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

What You Will Do

• Dimensional Modeling Leadership: Lead conceptual and logical dimensional modeling for OLAP workloads, defining facts, dimensions, grain, and conformed structures that serve enterprise analytics and reporting.
• Product Domain Modeling: Design industry data models for core banking products, including checking and savings accounts, loans, debit and credit cards, time deposits, and bonds.
• Channels & Customer Domain Modeling: Model data for digital channels, contactability, branches, customer care, and customer experience, enabling an integrated view of customer interactions.
• Risk Domain Modeling: Define data structures supporting delinquency, recovery, anti-money laundering (AML), and credit risk use cases, in alignment with regulatory and business needs.
• Prescriptive Application Design Support: Provide prescriptive guidance for application design and analytical use cases, translating business requirements into data models that support data-intensive applications.
• Architecture Alignment & Collaboration: Partner with data engineers, domain teams, and business stakeholders to ensure models are implemented consistently across Data Mesh and Data Warehouse platforms, and validate designs with advanced SQL.

What You Bring

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Architect with a functional and business-oriented profile.
• Extensive experience in financial services, modernizing business processes through data-intensive applications.
• Hands-on experience with Industry Data Models for data warehousing across banking products, channels, and risk domains.
• Extensive experience with Data Mesh, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence.

Technical Expertise

• Expertise in leading conceptual and logical dimensional modeling for OLAP workloads.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into data models for Data Mesh or Data Warehouse architectures.
• Expert-level SQL skills for data analysis, model validation, and profiling.
• Solid understanding of banking domains, including products, customer channels, AML, credit, delinquency, and recovery.

Nice to Have

• Teradata Financial Services Industry Data Model (FSI-LDM) or Oracle Financial Services (FSI) Industry Data Models.
• BIAN (Banking Industry Architecture Network) certification.
• Experience with Amazon Redshift, dbt, Delta Live Tables (DLT), and Informatica.
