About the role:
The Director of Treasury Product Integration plays a critical role in bridging the gap between Treasury operations and new product development across the organization. This role ensures that the unique needs and perspectives of the Treasury department are effectively incorporated into the design and functionality of all new products and services. This requires a deep understanding of treasury processes, risk management, and regulatory requirements, as well as strong collaboration and communication skills.
What will you be doing?
Treasury Advocacy & Needs Assessment:
- Serve as the primary advocate for Treasury within the organization's product development initiatives.
- Proactively identify and articulate the specific needs and requirements of Treasury in relation to new product design.
- Conduct thorough assessments of how new products may impact Treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity, risk management, and compliance.
Product Design & Development Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with product development teams to ensure that new products and services are designed with Treasury considerations in mind.
- Provide expert guidance and feedback on product features, functionalities, and user interfaces to ensure they align with Treasury best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in product design reviews, testing, and implementation processes to ensure seamless integration with existing Treasury systems and workflows.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Evaluate the potential risks and compliance implications of new products from a Treasury perspective.
- Work with product teams to implement appropriate risk mitigation measures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures to manage Treasury-related risks associated with new products.
Communication & Training:
- Effectively communicate Treasury requirements and perspectives to product development teams, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver training materials to educate product teams and other relevant personnel on Treasury-related aspects of new products.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact Treasury and product development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Product, Data, Financial Controlling, Legal, Compliance, and Network teams to build and grow cross-functional relationships.
- Work together to optimize the cash flows and margins of Aspire payment products, as well as our treasury data management system.
- Define the structure and fund flows to hold customer money under local regulations for licensed entities.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and develop a team of treasury professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the treasury function.
- Collaborate with other departments to align treasury activities with overall business objectives.
We would love to get to know you if you have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CTP, CFA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years experience in Treasury, preferably within the payment services or fintech industry.
- In-depth knowledge of treasury operations, financial markets, and risk management practices.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product development, technology, and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- You feel passionate about Tech and Start-ups, as well as implementing your skills and knowledge in creation and improvement of controls framework and internal processes.
- Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial software.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
