About the role:
Aspire is a fast-growing fintech company providing digital financial solutions across multiple jurisdictions, including payments, credit, cards, and investments. As we expand our footprint in the EMEA region, we are committed to enhancing our IT and operational resilience to meet evolving regulatory expectations, including EU DORA, GDPR, PSD2, and UK safeguarding requirements.
We are looking for an EMEA Resilience Manager to drive the implementation and oversight of our IT and operational resilience framework in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, regulators, and senior management to ensure Aspire's resilience capabilities are robust, scalable, and aligned with global best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Resilience & Regulatory Compliance
    • Develop, implement, and maintain IT and operational resilience frameworks in line with EU DORA, UK FCA/PRA, and local regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regulatory gap assessments and implement controls to address identified gaps.
    • Ensure compliance with business continuity, disaster recovery, and third-party risk management standards across Aspire’s EMEA operations.
  • Incident & Crisis Management
    • Establish and maintain incident response and crisis management protocols to minimize business disruptions.
    • Lead resilience testing exercises, including scenario testing and impact assessments.
    • Oversee root cause analysis and remediation efforts for major incidents affecting IT systems, operations, or third-party services.
  • Business Continuity Planning (BCP) & Disaster Recovery (DR)
    • Oversight business continuity and disaster recovery plans for Aspire’s EMEA entities.
    • Partner with IT and security teams to ensure resilient system architecture and cybersecurity.
    • Coordinate resilience testing (e.g., penetration testing, failover testing, tabletop exercises).
  • Third-Party & Cloud Resilience Oversight
    • Oversight third-party vendors' resilience capabilities, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations.
    • Collaborate with Aspire’s third-party risk management team to evaluate critical service providers.
    • Ensure compliance with outsourcing and cloud resilience regulations (e.g., DORA’s ICT risk management).
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
    • Work closely with EMEA and Global compliance, risk, technology, and operation teams to integrate resilience practices.
    • Provide regular reports to senior management and regulators on resilience risks and controls.
    • Act as the primary resilience contact for regulatory inquiries and audits related to operational resilience.

 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in operational resilience, IT risk, or business continuity management within financial services, fintech, or a regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of EU DORA, UK FCA/PRA operational resilience frameworks, GDPR, PSD2 related regulations.
  • Experience with business continuity planning, disaster recovery, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with third-party risk management, cloud resilience, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to drive regulatory implementation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders, regulators, and cross-functional teams.
  • Professional certifications such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional), CISSP, CISM, or ITILare a plus.
