About the role: BSA Officer, US
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced BSA Officer to lead and enhance our Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance program in the United States. As the BSA Officer, you will serve as the key point of contact for all FCC (financial crime compliance) matters, especially in relation to our bank partners, including under sponsorship models. You will be responsible for the design, execution, and governance of our US AML and sanctions framework and ensuring our program aligns with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated BSA Officer for the organization, in accordance with US regulatory expectations and partner bank requirements.
- Own and maintain the US BSA/AML and OFAC compliance program, including policies, risk assessments, procedures, and training. Offering 2LOD support to the business and 1LoD FinCrime Operation teams with the launch of products, procedures, processes, and systems
- Oversee suspicious activity monitoring, investigations, and SAR filings in coordination with internal teams and external partners.
- Manage relationships with banking partners and sponsor banks, responding to due diligence requests.
- Ensure compliance with FinCEN, OFAC, and state-level AML obligations, including preparing for audits, exams, and regulatory inquiries.
- Support the development and tuning of AML/Fraud rules and transaction monitoring tools (e.g., Alloy, Sardine, or other platforms).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Risk, Product, Operations, and Legal to embed compliance into new launches and existing workflows.
- Provide periodic AML/FCC reporting to senior management and assist in the oversight of third-party service providers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory developments, enforcement actions, and industry trends.

- Excellent knowledge of key regulatory issues pertaining to anti-fraud and control assessment processes
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in BSA/AML compliance, preferably in fintech, money services businesses (MSBs).
- Deep understanding of US AML regulations, FinCEN guidelines, and OFAC requirements.
- Experience interacting with banking partners and/or working under a bank sponsorship model is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with filing SARs, conducting AML investigations, and managing transaction monitoring systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and translate regulations into operational controls.
- CAMS certification or equivalent preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or legal background a plus.
The annual US base salary range for this role is $124,000 - $170,000. This salary range may cover a number of levels at Aspire and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, performance in the interview process and final location.
