Be a part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides support and encouragement to Adults with chronic mental illness so that they can live their best lives! Our Substance Use Clinicians gain comprehensive clinical experience working under experienced, independently licensed clinicians. In addition, we offer a wide variety of career growth and training opportunities within our organization.
The Substance Use Clinician develops, coordinates, and provides individual and group treatment as well as rehabilitation and support services to program clients with substance use disorders. He/she provides clinical consultation to other clinicians as needed. The Substance Use Clinician also builds community relationships and networks to generate referrals. He/she functions as a clinical member of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements:
- Must have LADC license from the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services
- Computer skills and adaptability
- Valid driver’s license. safe driving record, and access to a personal vehicle to provide occasional transportation of consumers
- Knowledge of local resources, specifically detox facilities, sober houses, treatment centers, suboxone/methadone clinics, and other substance use disorder services
- Previous experience working with adults and families in an outpatient setting
- Prior experience utilizing an Electronic Health Record is preferred
- One to two years of related experience
