Aspire Health Alliance is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based Clinician to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing therapeutic support and guidance to students within the school environment. The Clinician will operate under the direction of the VP of Crisis and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Services and the School-Based Supervisor. The primary goal is to offer clinical support to students identified by the school as benefiting from behavioral health interventions.
The Clinician will work in close partnership with school personnel, offering consultative support on behavioral health issues and acting as a clinical resource. Collaboration with the Aspire Community-Based Health Care (CBHC) team is essential to ensure seamless referrals and warm handoffs to outpatient services, crisis services, and in-home therapy. Establishing and maintaining referral sources with other community providers is a key responsibility, as is providing psychoeducation to families within the school setting. Administrative duties and documentation are also integral to the role, ensuring that all interventions and communications are accurately recorded and maintained in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies. This position is regular/at-will, indicating a stable opportunity within the organization without a predetermined end date. The role does not offer a per diem. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment for students, aiding in their emotional and behavioral development, and contributing to a positive school culture.
Requirements:
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year working with children and families.
- Experience in trauma-informed care.
- Experience working in a school or community setting, preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources including IHT, PHP, CBHC, preferred.
- Bilingual skills and/or experience working with diverse populations, preferred.
