Crisis Clinicians have the opportunity to gain comprehensive diagnostic and clinical skills with a broad population, including children and adults! Work is fast-paced, but clinicians receive clinical supervision for each client seen by an experienced, independently licensed supervisor.
Competitive salary plus $8/hour shift differential for working on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday-Friday 8pm-8am!
The Hospital-Based Crisis Clinician works at South Shore Hospital Integrated Services and is integral to our mission of providing exceptional behavioral health services to our community. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with medical staff to triage and assess clients in need of behavioral health interventions. The clinician will be responsible for determining the appropriate level of care, delivering clinical interventions, and providing case management support.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or other mental health discipline
- Training in assessing adults in crisis, as well as competency in assessing children and their families in crisis
- Minimum of one year of experience in a Crisis Intervention setting or related field placement in a Crisis Intervention setting is preferred
- Experience in a hospital or integrated care setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation protocols
- Experience in providing follow-up and referral services to ensure continuity of care
