ACCS Housing Specialist

SCHEDULE: Mon- Fri, 9a-5p Pay rate: $22-$25 range
As a Housing Specialist with Aspire Health Alliance, advocate for behavioral health clients with barriers to obtaining housing. Support clients in seeking, securing and maintaining housing. Develop and maintain working relationships with community housing resources. Maintain documentation and compliance with the HUD contract. Promote the Housing First model. Ensure client access and participation in Federal and Municipal entitlement programs
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains positive active relationships with local landlords, housing authorities, and other housing resources in order to support the needs of clients.
- Actively work with Department of Mental Health on establishing best practices for housing
- Meet individually and in groups to support clients on housing needs such as filling out paperwork and doing searches
- Keep current on all changes/trends in housing services/subsidies
- Work with business office to maintain current records on all subsidies
- Obtain MAP certification within 6 months from date of hire. Administers medication and completes documentation in accordance with MAP policy
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Human Services preferred plus 3 years of experience working in Mental Health, housing and/or entitlements.
Requires:
- Working knowledge of Dept of Mental Health contracting and regulations for community based treatment programs.
- Knowledge and experience in recovery oriented services and/or lived experience highly desirable
- Must have knowledge of SSI, MassHealth, housing systems, and other entitlements in MA.
- Valid MA State Driver’s License in good standing and access to personal vehicle
- MAP certification within 6 months of employment
