Under the guidance of the VP of Quality and Compliance, and with valuable input from the Human Rights Committee, Quality Assurance Committee, and Senior Management Team, this role coordinates all the Agency’s site-based Human Rights Officers. You will oversee the Human Rights Committee and ensure adherence to all Human Rights requirements and policies. Additionally, you will provide consultation and support to staff regarding Human Rights concerns and coordinate in-service training for both staff and consumers on Human Rights policies and procedures.
- Committee Coordination: Lead and facilitate the essential work of the Human Rights Committee and site-based Human Rights Officers. This includes the organization and documentation of site visits and meetings, as well as recruiting community members to serve on the Human Rights Committee.
- Complaint Management: Investigate human rights complaints promptly and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
- Policy and Procedures: Actively participate in the agency-wide Quality Assurance Committee. You will also serve as the agency's liaison with the Department of Mental Health (DMH) and other external organizations to review and enhance human rights policies. Your insights will be crucial in making recommendations for improvements to these policies and procedures.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all Human Rights Committee activities, as well as for all complaints and investigations, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Training: Attend all required DMH training and re-training sessions for Human Rights Officers to stay updated on best practices and compliance measures.
Compensation is based on candidate experience, qualifications, and certifications and licenses. Annual ranges listed are based on a full-time, 40 hours per week position.
Salary Range
$31.25 - $36.06 USD
