Are you ready to make a difference? The Intake Clinician is the vibrant first point of contact for potential clients, guiding them through the exciting enrollment process for our outpatient behavioral health services! This role is essential in ensuring that clients are assessed, referred, and enrolled with efficiency and care, all while adhering to agency policies, funding requirements, and legal standards.
The Outpatient Clinic Intake Clinician will be a dynamic member of the Clinic Intake Team. They will collaborate and coordinate care with Aspire Health Alliance programs, working closely with the Clinic Director, APD’s, Supervisors, Central Registration, and Prescribers. This position reports directly to the Clinic Intake Coordinator, creating an engaging and supportive work environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Client Screening & Referral: Screen incoming referrals (via SRTS, walk-ins, or community sources) and kick off the admission process within just 1-2 business days, tailored to case and program needs!
- Enrollment & Scheduling: Schedule initial intake appointments for themselves or a designated clinical staff member, expertly manage pre-intake and intake scheduling, update calendars for rescheduled appointments, and complete intake assessments with enthusiasm!
- Documentation & Paperwork: Complete and process initial, ongoing, and yearly intake forms; maintain accurate intake logs; and ensure all required legal and insurance documentation is gathered efficiently!
- Eligibility Verification: Check insurance eligibility before client admission to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Coordination & Follow-Up: Track waitlist clients, proactively follow up on changing needs, and notify the clinical team of high-need cases with urgency!
- Referral Management: Assist with tracking and processing referrals, ensuring every client gets the attention they deserve!
- Client Support: Provide a warm welcome to office walk-ins, helping them understand and enroll for services if eligible.
- Participate in On-Call Rotation for extended daytime hours, Saturdays, and Sundays, showcasing your commitment to client care!
- Must work evenings at least 2 nights a week until 8, embracing the flexibility to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with the Clinic Director, APD’s, and Clinic Intake Coordinator to assign new cases, fostering teamwork!
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other mental health discipline.
- Independent Licensure required
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management abilities; proficiency in a second language is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality laws, and agency policies; ability to maintain accurate, timely documentation.
Compensation is based on candidate experience, qualifications, and certifications and licenses. Annual ranges listed are based on a full-time, 40 hours per week position.
Salary Range
$65,000 - $105,000 USD
