Job title: DSP Mentor
- We are looking for a DSP Mentor to play a vital role in providing person-centered services to supported individuals. In addition to providing supports to assigned individuals, the DSP Mentor will support new hires through peer mentoring, assisting the Program Manager with new hire training, observation and feedback.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Direct Support Professional within the agency.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback using agency-approved observational practice language.
- Receptiveness to training and peer mentor supervision for ongoing development.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated passion for mentoring and developing others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using computers to complete required electronic documentation.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass and maintain all required training and certifications.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; degree in Human Services, Psychology, or related field preferred.
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Reliable transportation required; some positions may require use of a personal vehicle to transport individuals supported.
