The Role

As an Account Director at Aspire, you will play a leadership role in driving the growth of a large book of client business. You’ll oversee a portfolio of project-based and retainer-based influencer marketing (IM) clients, maintaining strong external relationships and leading a collaborative accounts group organized around a specific vertical (aka a “Pod”). You will act as the most senior day-to-day point of contact for clients, ensuring their business objectives and KPIs align with our IM strategies and tactical plans. By understanding their internal operations and key decision-makers, you will develop a client mapping system and strategies to grow existing client relationships and foster new ones with sister brands within your enterprise-level company client portfolio. Your proactive approach to client relationship cultivation and stewardship will help deepen client engagement and be instrumental in account renewals and expansions to contribute to Aspire’s growth goals.  

Additionally, you will lead and inspire a team of Account Supervisors, Campaign Managers and Campaign Associates, providing strategic guidance in campaign planning, client management, and program optimization. Your role will involve leading the strategy and creative for client programs that ladder up to their business objectives, and fostering a high-performance culture driven to deliver the highest standards of quality. You will foster a positive and collaborative team culture, support new business development in partnership with Aspire’s Sales team, and contribute senior leadership oversight that achieves operational efficiency to enhance Aspire's overall performance and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, aligning their objectives with IM strategies.
  • Act as the most senior client contact on your accounts, as a trusted counselor, strategic partner and thought leader.
  • Develop a comprehensive client mapping system and strategies for relationship building.
  • Lead and inspire a team of talent who are at various stages of seniority and career experience.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, growth-oriented team culture.
  • Provide consistency of “The Aspire Agency Way” from kick offs, quarterly business reviews, and wrap reports so that every client feels a consistently high level of servicing satisfaction.
  • Support Sales and Marketing in developing pitches, presentations and events to raise Aspire’s visibility in the industry.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding for new Aspire clients and a seamless transition from the sell-in period led by the Salesperson.
  • Allocate team resources effectively and optimize workflows.
  • Oversee financial reporting and ensure accuracy in Agency systems like Salesforce and Harvest.
  • Monitor team bandwidth and partner with the Senior Director of Agency Operations on resource allocations based on project requirements.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience in account management, client services, or a related role within the marketing or advertising industry
  • Proven experience in influencer marketing or social media marketing is highly desirable
  • Experience in leading and managing teams
  • Proficiency in using CRM and project management tools
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and influencer marketing tools
  • Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Passion for staying updated with client category trends and industry best practices

Compensation

The base salary for this role is between $115,000 - $125,000.

  • Please note: The final offer amount will depend on factors like experience, expertise, and location, and may differ from the range above. This range also excludes additional benefits, such as equity, 401(k), and medical, dental, or vision insurance.

Our compensation philosophy: we use a market-based approach to compensation. This means we use a series of compensation tools to help us understand how companies value this role in the U.S. market based on function, level, geographic location, and positions benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. To comply with local legislation and provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above. We have competitive pay bands for all other countries based on market standards.
