Human Resources Assistant
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the HR department, ensuring efficient and accurate execution of day-to-day HR operations. The Human Resources Assistant will support the Human Resources Generalist and Chief Human Resources Officer in maintaining employee records, assisting with onboarding tasks, managing internal HR systems, and ensuring that documentation and processes remain up to date and compliant. This role is primarily focused on clerical, systems, and coordination tasks and does not include responsibilities related to talent acquisition or recruiting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for daily HR functions, including maintaining digital files, templates, and forms in HR systems.
- Support the end-to-end onboarding process by monitoring background screening results, ensuring completion of new hire paperwork, coordinating system and equipment access, assisting with welcome communications, and entering accurate data into HR systems.
- Coordinate and process employee record updates in the HR systems, including transfers, title changes, pay rate changes, and terminations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Maintain and update manager/supervisor access to relevant HR systems.
- Respond to internal HR-related inquiries and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Provide clerical support for payroll, benefits, leave of absences, audits, and documentation updates.
- Assist with compiling and maintaining confidential HR records.
- Contribute to fast-paced projects that require adaptability to shifting priorities, accurate data entry, and effective problem-solving.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
