Sales Operations Data Specialist

As a Sales Operations Data Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the accuracy of sales data within Salesforce and supporting tools. Your primary focus will be maintaining data integrity, ensuring that Opportunities, Orders, and Leads are clean, accurate, and up-to-date. This role is data-centric, and you'll be tasked with handling data quality, deduplication, and lead management workflows to ensure efficient and accurate sales reporting and forecasting.

You will also assist in building custom reports, automating key data workflows, and supporting the sales team in overcoming data-related challenges. This role will involve working closely with sales operations, marketing operations, and the sales team to ensure data processes are working seamlessly and assist in filling data gaps where needed. While your primary responsibility is focused on data management, you will also collaborate with sales leadership to support ad hoc reporting, sales forecasting, and ensuring clean data flows through integrated systems such as Zoominfo, Outreach, and 6Sense.

This role requires strong technical skills in Salesforce data management, reporting, and a deep understanding of data hygiene practices. You will be instrumental in providing data-driven insights that empower the sales team, while ensuring accurate and reliable information for forecasting and pipeline management. Additionally, you will support Deal Desk processes by ensuring pricing and contract data are accurately reflected in the system.

What You'll Do:

  • Sales Forecasting Support: Assist in sales forecasting by ensuring the accuracy of data in Salesforce. Provide data-driven insights and historical analysis to improve forecast accuracy and pipeline visibility.
  • Deal Desk Lite Support: Provide Deal Desk support by assisting in the setup of quotes, contracts, and proposals for deals. Ensure pricing accuracy, compliance with internal policies, and that sales reps follow the correct approval process for discounts or custom pricing.
  • Opportunity Data Management: Review and maintain the accuracy of Opportunity data to ensure smooth month-end reconciliation. Identify and correct any data inconsistencies, ensuring clean data throughout the sales process.
  • Dedupe Management: Implement and manage deduplication jobs using Ringlead to eliminate duplicate records and ensure the cleanliness and accuracy of the database. Collaborate with the sales team to streamline workflows by reducing redundancy.
  • Lead Management & Workflows: Support the development of Zoominfo workflows to ensure that qualified leads are properly integrated into Salesforce and Outreach sequences. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure leads are routed efficiently and follow-up activities are automated where possible.
  • Lead Scoring & ICP Alignment: Assist with building and refining lead scoring models, including working within 6Sense to properly score accounts and align them with Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP) and ABM Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize lead qualification for more accurate targeting and engagement.
  • Lead Routing: Build and maintain efficient lead routing processes, ensuring leads are assigned correctly and sales teams are informed of high-priority accounts based on real-time data.
  • Data Gap Filling: Address data process gaps manually until automation solutions are implemented. Provide hands-on support to ensure processes remain efficient during interim periods.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to identify and resolve data-related challenges that impact the deal cycle. Proactively address manual efforts that slow down sales processes by implementing data solutions and process improvements.
  • Opportunity and Order Maintenance: Maintain and update Opportunity and Order data throughout the sales process. Ensure accurate data is entered and reflected at every stage, supporting pipeline and forecasting accuracy.
  • Process Optimization via Data Analysis: Analyze data issues to pinpoint underlying process inefficiencies. Provide recommendations for process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Marketing Operations Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing Operations team to ensure accurate data flow from Hubspot into Salesforce. Ensure data hygiene and compliance with internal and external data management standards.
  • Reporting Automation: Automate the creation of reports and dashboards in Salesforce and other BI tools to provide stakeholders with real-time insights. Build automation to ensure recurring reporting is seamless and provides relevant data for sales leadership.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide ad hoc reporting for sales, operations, and leadership teams as needed. Help identify key data trends and insights to inform business decisions.

Who You Are:

  • 4+ years of experience in Sales Operations or Data Management roles
  • Proficient in Salesforce, including managing opportunities, orders, and lead routing
  • Hands-on experience with deduplication tools such as Ringlead
  • Strong knowledge of lead management tools like Zoominfo and Outreach
  • Experience with 6Sense or similar tools for account scoring and ABM alignment
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot data issues and recommend process improvements
  • Familiarity with data hygiene best practices and marketing automation tools like Hubspot (Hubspot expertise not necessary)
  • Experience with lead scoring models and ensuring alignment with ICP and ABM strategies
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations teams to solve data challenges
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proactive, self-starter with a passion for improving operational efficiency and solving data problems
  • Strong Sales Operations or Data Management experience required
  • Advanced proficiency in Salesforce and data management tools
  • Experience with lead routing, lead scoring, and ABM frameworks
  • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms like Hubspot and Zoominfo
  • Proven track record of solving complex data problems and implementing process improvements
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience in B2B software and working with sales teams is preferred

We have a distributed team that works remotely across locations in the United States. We are open to candidates from most states but collaboration within core working hours is required.
