Front End Engineer

The Front-End Developer will work with a team of developers to build out new cloud application features and optimize and improve existing features. At this level, engineers have gained some experience and can handle more complex tasks with less supervision. They are expected to contribute to design discussions and have a good understanding of their technology stack.
- Technical Experience – Technical experience to design, develop, and maintain high quality solutions.
- Problem Solving – Contributes to highly complex projects. Participate in tech planning including estimates. Work with senior engineers to develop efficient and effective solutions. Work independently on moderately complex tasks.
- Process Improvement – Actively engaged in process improvements including tools and standards.
- Develop new cloud application features primarily using React and related front-end technologies.
- Optimize and enhance existing UI components and overall user experience.
- Collaborate on front-end architecture and integration with backend APIs.
- Participate in troubleshooting and production support for front-end issues.
- Conduct peer code reviews to ensure maintainable, high-quality code.
- Help evolve front-end development practices, tools, and processes.
- Work closely with design, backend, and product teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Continuously improve best practices around performance, accessibility, and coding standards.
- (Nice to have) Experience contributing to backend services or AWS Lambda functions.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience building responsive, production-grade React web applications.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a solid understanding of modern front-end frameworks and tooling.
- Experience implementing designs that meet browser compatibility and mobile-friendly standards.
- Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and front-end best practices.
- Experience collaborating in agile environments using tools like Jira, GitHub (or similar).
- Understanding of API integration and data handling in front-end applications.
- (Nice to have) Experience with backend or serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, or relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server).
- Nice to have) Exposure to Python, UX design principles, or AWS cloud tools.
- Work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Requires professional appearance, good communication skills, and professional conduct.

- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
