Deal Desk Manager

Remote

AssetWatch serves global manufacturers by powering manufacturing uptime through the delivery of an unparalleled condition monitoring experience, with a passion to care about the assets our customers care for every day. We are a devoted and capable team that includes world-renowned engineers and distinguished business leaders united by a common goal – To build the future of predictive maintenance. As we enter the next phase of rapid growth, we are seeking people to help lead the journey.

What’s the Opportunity

AssetWatch is hiring a Deal Desk Manager to be the connective tissue between our Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal teams — enabling our revenue process to run fast without breaking things. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role where you will build and run the deal desk function from the ground up, creating the structure, policies, and workflows that help AssetWatch scale its commercial engine.

You will own the quote-to-cash process, guide complex deal structures, and serve as the go-to expert for anything that sits at the intersection of a customer commitment and a company policy.

We expect end-to-end ownership, pragmatic judgment, and a bias for getting deals done the right way.

Deal Structuring & Execution

  • Serve as the primary advisor to Sales and Customer Success on deal structure, pricing, discounting, and contract terms — especially for complex, non-standard, or enterprise opportunities.
  • Review and approve deals against internal pricing policies and booking guidelines, ensuring compliance without sacrificing deal velocity
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success through the full deal cycle, from initial scoping through close, to shape smart, scalable commercial terms
  • Act as the escalation point for deal exceptions, offering clear guidance on alternatives and tradeoffs

Process & Systems

  • Build and own AssetWatch's deal desk workflows, approval frameworks, SLA standards, and discount authorization matrices
  • Drive continuous improvement of the quote-to-cash process in Salesforce and CPQ tools, reducing friction and improving data quality
  • Develop and maintain a deal desk playbook, contract templates, and booking guidelines tailored to AssetWatch's hardware + SaaS subscription model
  • Ensure deal data is clean, complete, and structured to support downstream billing, revenue recognition, and forecasting
  • Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner closely with Finance on revenue recognition, order accuracy, and period-close processes
  • Develop a set of booking guidelines and policies that balance speed and agility with the need for audit-ready, repeatable revenue measurement
  • Collaborate with Legal on contract redlines, MSAs, and non-standard commercial terms
  • Work with RevOps to improve tooling, reporting, and deal desk KPIs (cycle time, discount trends, exception rates)
  • Provide Sales leadership with regular visibility into deal health and commercial patterns

This role is located in the United States.

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Contract Management — ideally in a B2B SaaS, IoT, or subscription-based business
  • Demonstrated ability to build or significantly improve deal desk processes in a high-growth environment
  • Strong understanding of subscription pricing models, revenue recognition principles (ASC 606), and commercial contract structures
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM; experience with CPQ tools (Salesforce CPQ, DealHub, or similar) strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to model deal scenarios and communicate financial tradeoffs clearly
  • Experience creating, improving, and documenting business processes
  • Exceptional cross-functional communication skills — able to translate deal complexity into plain language for reps, finance, and executives alike
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, building from scratch, and managing competing priorities at end of month and quarter
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial tech, IoT, hardware-plus-software, or subscription + services business models
  • Familiarity with CLM tools (e.g., Ironclad, DocuSign, Conga)
  • Experience supporting a fast-growing Series B or Series C company
  • Exposure to channel or partner deal structures

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

How do you know if you have a disability?
