Project Manager

 ASSYST is seeking a Project Manager to support technology projects and ongoing production/operational activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of project management, operational support, incident/problem management, and stakeholder coordination skills.

This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage project activities while also working closely with technical and business teams to ensure systems and applications remain stable, operational, and responsive to business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage IT projects from planning through implementation, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate day-to-day operational and production support activities across technical teams.
  • Monitor production issues, incidents, risks, and dependencies and drive them through resolution.
  • Coordinate with application, infrastructure, development, and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
  • Manage priorities, timelines, action items, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
  • Facilitate status meetings and communicate project and operational updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, status reports, action logs, and operational procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, system performance, and support efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of experience in IT project management, IT operations, application support, or a related field.
  • Experience managing IT projects in a production or operational environment within Microsoft Azure platform.
  • Strong understanding of production support, incident management, problem management, and change management.
  • Experience coordinating with technical teams such as application development, infrastructure, database, cybersecurity, and/or service desk.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience with project management tools and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • U.S. Citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Federal Government security clearance, if required for the position.
