Responsibilities:
- Test and verify that optical devices, such as optical transceivers or optical systems, meet performance specifications and industry standards.
- Work with the design and validation engineer to create and execute validation plans and analyze results to identify issues and provide feedback to design teams.
- Write scripts to automate test execution and collect module performance data
- Implement data storage and logging infrastructure for traceability
- Perform initial data analysis (e.g., signal integrity, power, thermal, or optical performance) and summarize results for the engineering team
- Document test plans, schematics, and software in a reproducible, maintainable format
- Present findings and recommendations to the team in a clear and structured manner
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Coursework or project experience in PCB design, Cadence CAD, or Simulation tools
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB for data collection and analysis
- Comfort with basic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to work hands-on in a lab environment
