Role Overview

 

 

Astera Labs is seeking a motivated Procurement Intern to join our team for the summer and play a critical role in strengthening our indirect procurement operations. This is a hands-on opportunity to drive meaningful impact at a hyper-growth AI infrastructure connectivity company during a pivotal time in our scaling journey.

 

 

This internship offers direct visibility into how procurement supports a fast-moving technology company and the opportunity to work closely with senior team members on initiatives that matter.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Competitive Landscape & Strategy

    • Research and analyze the competitive landscape for key software subscriptions and vendor categories
    • Build a strategy framework to evaluate subscription alternatives, pricing models, and consolidation opportunities
    • Create documentation and dashboards to support ongoing procurement decision-making
  • Process Improvement

    • Partner with IT and Finance to establish best practices for software subscription management
    • Support the development of policies to prevent unauthorized software usage going forward

 

 

 

Basic Qualifications

 

 

 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
  • Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

 

 

  • Interest in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management
  • Experience with data analysis or building reports/dashboards
  • Familiarity with SaaS tools and software licensing models
  • Prior internship or project experience in a corporate environment
