Supply Chain Operations Analyst – NCG 

Role Overview 

Astera Labs is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Supply Chain Operations Analyst to support supply chain planning, capacity management, cost visibility, and operational execution across the business. 

 

The ideal candidate is a curious and proactive problem solver who is comfortable working with large datasets, investigating discrepancies, and partnering cross-functionally to solve problems. This role provides broad exposure to semiconductor supply chain operations and an opportunity to develop a strong foundation in planning, cost management, supplier operations, and business analytics. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Review and validate supplier invoices, pricing, and charges against purchase orders, quotations, and other supporting documentation. Investigate discrepancies and partner with Procurement, Finance/Accounts Payable, and suppliers to drive issues to resolution. 

• Maintain and analyze cost data, including supplier pricing, cost changes, spend trends, and variances. Flag areas requiring further investigation. 

• Support Capacity Planning and Production Planning teams with recurring analysis, reporting, data validation, and execution tracking. Monitor supply, capacity, inventory, work in progress (WIP), purchase orders, and supplier commitments to support planning decisions. 

• Identify operational exceptions, data inconsistencies, and process gaps that may affect planning or execution; perform root-cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions with the appropriate teams. 

• Develop and maintain reports, trackers, dashboards, and KPIs that provide visibility into supplier costs, invoice status, open exceptions, planning execution, and other key operational metrics. 

• Support supplier cost reviews, business reviews, planning reviews, and other cross-functional operating meetings by preparing data, analysis, and follow-up actions. 

• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate recurring processes and reporting. Document standard work and help implement improvements that enhance data accuracy, issue resolution, and operational efficiency. 

• Support ad hoc analysis and special projects based on evolving business needs. 

Basic Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. 

• Recent graduate or early-career candidate with 0–1 years of relevant professional experience (internships and co-ops count). 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate data, identify discrepancies, and develop actionable conclusions. 

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial and operational data. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience working with large datasets, formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Finance, and other functions. 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow issues through to resolution in a fast-paced environment. 

• Proactive and curious mindset with a willingness to learn semiconductor supply chain processes and take ownership of problems. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. 

• Previous internship, co-op, academic project, or work experience related to supply chain, planning, procurement, operations, finance, or data analytics. 

• Exposure to semiconductor, electronics, or other high-tech manufacturing environments. 

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle. 

• Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, or other data analysis and visualization tools. 

• Exposure to purchase orders, supplier invoices, cost analysis, accounts payable processes, or supplier management. 

• Experience using data or automation to improve an operational process.
