The role

As a Platform Application Engineer Intern, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and supporting the validation tools and infrastructure that enable our products to be tested, integrated, and deployed at scale with confidence.

You’ll develop and maintain tools that make our products easier to integrate, debug, and validate for both customers and internal engineering teams. Your work will range from developing automation and validation frameworks to working hands-on in the lab with state-of-the-art hardware and test equipment.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to investigate complex technical challenges, improve validation coverage, and accelerate product deployment. You’ll also have opportunities to drive innovation in validation methodologies and streamline development and deployment processes.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role at the intersection of software and hardware, where curiosity, creativity, and technical depth come together to help define the next generation of data center infrastructure.

What you bring

Basic qualifications

Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Programming experience in Python and familiarity with writing maintainable, testable code.
Familiarity with Linux command-line tools, Git, debugging, testing, and modern software development workflows.
Basic understanding of web applications, REST APIs, and software debugging.
Basic understanding of computer architecture and platform components, such as CPUs, GPUs, memory, storage, and PCIe devices.

Preferred qualifications

Experience with React or another modern web framework.
Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, AWS, or distributed services.
Exposure to databases, dashboards, or data visualization.
Experience with test automation, validation frameworks, or developing internal engineering tools.

Compensation and benefits

The applicable hourly pay range is $35 - $55 per hour. Final rate will be specified in the offer letter. Compensation and benefits for this Vancouver, Canada internship will be determined under applicable Canadian programs and specified in the offer letter.
