About the role

As a Product Marketing Intern, you will work with product line management and cross-functional partners to understand customer needs, translate technical concepts into clear product and solution messaging, and support go-to-market execution. You will gain hands-on experience across the product life cycle while contributing to work that connects Astera Labs’ connectivity solutions with the needs of hyperscale customers and modern AI infrastructure.

What you’ll do

• Learn how hyperscale customers use PCIe, CXL, and Ethernet connectivity solutions to build cloud and AI infrastructure, and develop an understanding of customer use cases and challenges.

• Partner with product line management, Marketing, Sales, Applications, Field Applications Engineering, Program Management, Firmware, and Product Applications teams to drive solutions and outcomes for customers.

• Develop sales-enablement collateral, product messaging, marketing slides, and other materials that communicate product value to technical and business audiences.

• Support go-to-market strategies, product positioning, industry events, web and social campaigns, and other marketing programs.

• Conduct competitive and market analysis, synthesize technical and business information, and help develop business cases.

• Support product trainings, demos, launch work, and demo messaging as assigned.

• Gather stakeholder input, set clear timelines, track deliverables, communicate progress, and keep work moving independently.

• Present findings, roadmaps, messaging, and project outcomes to cross-functional audiences.

What you bring

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field, with an interest in product marketing, product management, semiconductors, or AI infrastructure.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear presentations and explain complex ideas.

• Self-motivated, proactive, highly organized, and comfortable taking ownership of deliverables.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.

• Creative, analytical, and detail-oriented approach to problem solving.

• Willingness to learn new technical and business concepts and bring forward thoughtful ideas.

Preferred experience

• Familiarity with semiconductors, hardware and software solutions, or data-center cloud and AI infrastructure.

• Familiarity with PCIe, CXL, Ethernet, or related connectivity use cases.

• Experience with competitive research, market analysis, business analysis, sales enablement, product messaging, or presentation development.

Internship experience and compensation

This is a paid, hourly U.S. internship. The applicable hourly rate is determined as part of the offer process and specified in the offer letter, depending on education level ranges form $35/hour to $55/hour. U.S. interns currently receive a $500-per-week housing/relocation stipend for the duration of the internship. Interns participate in Early Career programming, including technical and professional-development sessions, community events, and an end-of-program project presentation.
