Astranis is on a mission to bridge the digital divide by connecting the four billion people worldwide who currently lack internet access. We're doing this by building the next generation of smaller, more cost-effective spacecraft to bring the world online. 

As a team, we’ve launched two satellites into orbit,  signed ten commercial deals worth over $1 billion in revenue, raised over $500 million from top global investors, and recruited a team of over 300 world-class engineers. We all work out of our (legendary) San Francisco office, which was once used to build ships during the World Wars.

Our satellites, which operate from geostationary orbit (GEO), weigh only 400 kg and utilize a proprietary software-defined radio payload. Each satellite can connect over two million people, and we’re very excited for the impact we’ll soon have in the Philippines, Peru, Mexico, and more!

Content Creator

We're looking for a highly creative and ambitious Content Creator to help grow Astranis's brand through viral and engaging long form YouTube and short-form vertical content. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing original show concepts for YouTube and bespoke short-form-vertical-video that showcase Astranis's mission, innovations, and unique company culture. Your goal will be to create content that not only informs but also entertains, helping us reach new audiences and establish Astranis as a leader in the deep tech space. As you grow in this position, you'll play a key role in shaping our content strategy and finding new ways to tell Astranis' story through short-form content.

Role

  • Develop and produce original show concepts for Astranis
  • Create bespoke SFVs showcasing Astranis's HQ & mission
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines
  • Analyze content performance and viewer engagement to inform future strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and platforms
  • Mentor other team members in short-form content creation best practices

Requirements

  • 2+ years of video and design experience -- professional or side hustles are acceptable
  • Proven record of generating an audience of 10,000 or more subscribers/followers on any platform
  • Video content that has drawn more than 10,000 views
  • A portfolio of high-quality work that spans vide types (YouTube, TikTok, Reels, ec.) as well as a range of mediums (videos, graphic design, motion graphics‚ etc.)
  • Expert knowledge of a variety of design tools
  • Team player who learns quickly and thrives in a fast-paced organization
  • An impeccable eye for design, style, detail, and color
  • Willing to work in person in San Francisco, CA
