As a team, we’ve launched five satellites into orbit, signed ten commercial deals worth over $1 billion in revenue, raised over $750 million from top global investors, and recruited a team of over 400 world-class engineers. We all work out of our (legendary) San Francisco office, which was once used to build ships during the World Wars.
Our satellites, which operate from geostationary orbit (GEO), weigh only 400 kg and utilize a proprietary software-defined radio payload. Each satellite can connect over two million people, and we’re very excited for the impact we’ll soon have in the Philippines, Peru, Mexico, and more!

Head of Marketing
We’re looking for someone to own the Astranis brand across creative channels and scale the in-house marketing org. You’ll lead visual and narrative strategy across design, video, social platforms, website, and paid demand campaigns all in support of hiring, fundraising, B2B lead generation, and public visibility. This is a leadership role with hands-on execution and high ambiguity, but huge upside.
Role:
- Steward Astranis’s brand across visual and digital platforms: graphic design, video, social, website, blog, investor decks, etc.
- Lead and mentor our creative team (currently 1 designer and 3 full-stack video producers), setting high bar for quality and output
- Identify functional gaps, hire top-tier marketers, establish new roles aligned with our growth trajectory
- Develop targeted messaging for our key audiences: investors, customers, government stakeholders, candidates, partners, regulators
- Build and scale audience across core channels: X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, blog
- Define, launch, and optimize global paid top-of-funnel campaigns that fuel commercial satellite demand and leads
Requirements
- 2+ years experience of management
- 5+ years of total marketing experience
- Track record of ownership: delivered visible results—a channel you scaled, a campaign you led, a creative team you developed
- One “superpower” in either:
- New media (e.g. social growth, YouTube content, X strategy)
- Traditional B2B marketing (e.g. demand gen, lead gen, account-based marketing)
plus ability and drive to quickly master the other domain - No specific degree or resume checklist, just proof that you can deliver quality at scale
- Full-time, in-person in San Francisco, Astranis is built on team presence and in-office energy

Base Salary
$130,000 - $200,000 USD
