Description:

The Athletics have a renowned Internship program and we are looking for interns for upcoming Spring Training! Spring Training Gameday Operations Interns will act as liaisons between the Athletics client relations unit and Athletics fans at every Athletics home game inside the gates of Hohokam Stadium.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Spring Training stadium operations, including game day set up, in-game operations, and post-game reset
  • Interact with fans throughout the stadium, assist with needs and resolve day-of-game concerns
  • Collaborate with other departments such as sales, marketing, fan experience, event management, and ticket operations to provide excellent customer service
  • Coordinate inventory and delivery of promotional items to the correct distribution points, like stadium entrances
  • Orchestrate in-venue promotions and game-day activities to enhance excitement and fan participation
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in either an undergraduate or graduate college or university program or have graduated within the past 6 months 
  • Exhibit a service mindset with excellent verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to take initiative to provide solutions
  • Friendly, approachable and eager to learn!
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast paced work environment
  • Team oriented attitude with a “can do” service focus
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism and maturity when responding to staff and fans
  • Must be able to work non-traditional hours for all fourteen (14) 2026 Athletics Spring Training home games (dates to follow) in addition to some pre-season preparation and post-season wrap-up days
  • Ability to safely lift equipment up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Previous experience working in events and in a customer relations role is a plus
