Description:
The Retail Associate, Spring Training will support retail operations for the Athletics main Team Shop and satellite locations within Hohokam Stadium.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products; ensure a pleasant and personalized shopping experience.
- Provide accurate information on products, pricing, and promotions.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
- Operate cash register or POS system accurately.
- Process sales, exchanges, and returns according to store policy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales floor, fitting rooms, and displays.
- Restock shelves and ensure merchandise is properly tagged and priced.
- Participate in team meetings, briefings, and store events.
- Follow all store policies, including loss prevention and cash handling.
- Report suspicious activity or security concerns immediately.
- Occasionally assist with inventory-related tasks, including stock counting, receiving shipments, and supporting inventory audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be willing and able to work the entirety of the Spring Training season, from March through April.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems (preferably Square).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math and computer skills (POS, cash handling).
- Positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Willing and able to work a non-traditional schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Fast-paced retail environment requiring multitasking and teamwork.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
