Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. The ideal candidate will help ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied while fostering a positive, productive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and hiring
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding programs
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and HR-related concerns
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems data
- Assist with benefits administration and employee enrollment
- Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Coordinate training and development programs
- Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality
- Participate in HR projects to enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness
Additional Responsibilities
- Evaluate and improve recruitment processes, sourcing strategies, and hiring practices
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on best practices and interview techniques
- Track recruiting metrics and provide data-driven insights to leadership
- Stay current on HR trends, employment laws, and compliance requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and candidate information
- Complete administrative HR tasks accurately and in a timely manner
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Industrial services and/or construction experience required
- 2–5 years of HR experience (generalist experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HR principles and employment laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar)
- Experience in a multi-location or high-growth environment
- Familiarity with HR systems such as Greenhouse, Vista, or ADP Workforce Now
- Experience using recruiting metrics to drive hiring decisions

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role operates primarily in an indoor office environment and is largely sedentary. The position requires regular use of standard office equipment and the ability to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Some flexibility in scheduling, including evenings or weekends, may be required based on business needs.
