How You Will Make an Impact:
The Fabrication Technician is responsible for executing metal fabrication and installation tasks with precision and attention to detail in the Fabrication Shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs assigned work on assembly lines such as punching holes or bending sheet metal.
- Uses appropriate machinery and software applications to complete assigned jobs.
- Pulls parts off the laser table and stacks the parts.
- Prep parts for painting by organizing pallets of parts and hanging parts on the paint coat line.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
- Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job.
- Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings.
- Use the correct tools and use them safely.
- Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
- Abide by all policies and procedures established by Moser Energy Systems.
- Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certification from a vocational school or trade school preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of assembly experience is preferred.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of basic mechanical tools.
- Ability to learn a variety of fabrication equipment and techniques.
- An aptitude for mechanical assembly.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Read and follow complex directions in manuals and relay information in reports.
- Must treat everyone equally with respect and dignity.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to work legally in the US.
- Pass a drug screening.
- Clean motor vehicle record.
