Role Overview

We seek a Senior Front-End Software Engineer and culture champion who embodies both technical prowess and leadership acumen. This individual will contribute hands-on to the development of high-quality software while also nurturing a culture that values effective team practices. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in client-side scripting and ensuring cross-browser compatibility. The role presents an extraordinary opportunity to participate in the growth of a dynamic company and to gain deep understanding of the market-disrupting sector of private asset-backed finance.

  • Develop and Implement High-Quality Front-End Solutions: Create and refine scalable front-end architecture with a focus on React, ensuring the delivery of user-friendly and efficient applications.
  • Lead Front-End Design and Integration: Architect and implement responsive UI components and integrate them with server-side APIs, prioritizing both user experience and technical requirements.
  • Champion Front-End Automated Testing: Establish and maintain a comprehensive testing suite for UI components, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure consistent performance and user interface reliability.
  • Maintain Front-End Code Quality: Commit to high standards of code quality with regular peer code reviews, refactoring, and adherence to modern front-end development practices.
  • Foster Front-End Team Growth and Culture: Serve as a mentor and advocate for front-end best practices within the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Engage closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and back-end engineers to ensure cohesive development efforts that align with user needs and company objectives.
  • Stay Current with Front-End Technologies: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in front-end development, particularly frameworks and libraries relevant to React, to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience. Specialization or significant coursework in front-end development preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in React, along with a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and front-end frameworks. Experience with modern databases and familiarity with cloud services and DevOps practices that pertain to front-end deployment.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of dedicated experience in front-end development, with a portfolio demonstrating successful user interface implementations and contributions to front-end projects.
  • Software Design: Proven ability in designing and implementing intuitive and scalable front-end architectures, with a focus on modular and reusable code.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: In-depth experience with automated front-end testing frameworks and tools to ensure high-quality user interfaces and interactions.
  • Leadership: Experience in leading development teams, mentoring junior developers, and promoting a culture of technical excellence.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuous Learning: A commitment to continuous professional development, with a keen interest in staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the field of private asset-backed finance is a plus. Willingness to engage deeply in this innovative area is essential.

*Position is based at the NYC location. 100% remote working option is not offered. 

Base Salary Range

$150,000 - $200,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
