Position Overview
ATLAS SP is seeking a Desktop Support professional to join ATLAS’ Infrastructure team.
This role is responsible for providing advanced technical assistance to our staff across all end-user applications & services, addressing hardware and software issues and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer environment. You will also help to develop ATLAS' desktop strategy and work on challenging projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Manage and maintain the company's desktop and laptop environment.
- Resolve software deployment problems and conduct regular patch management processes.
- Set up and configure new systems, diagnose hardware/software faults, and solve technical problems.
- Work with our MSP to optimize hardware and application delivery processes, managing SLA compliance for the same
- Manage audio/visual systems and conference room technology.
- Manage standard build images for desktops and laptops.
- Manage the remote repairs of desktops and laptops.
- Oversee the daily performance of computer systems and respond to system messages, alerts, or any system failures.
- Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure optimal performance of all devices and systems.
- Conduct regular software and hardware updates and ensure optimal performance of all devices.
Requirements
- Must possess a customer-oriented attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in information technology.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or similar role.
- Knowledge of conference room audio/visual systems.
- Knowledge of network security practices and anti-malware programs.
- Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners.
- Knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and products.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Mac operating systems. Linux experience a +.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- May work extended hours or on-call rotations, as required.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities based on ‘can-do’ approach.
- Experience with vendor management.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud and LAN/WAN environments.
- Experience with M365, Azure and AWS cloud architecture a +.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in Financial Services preferred.

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
