Position Overview
ATLAS SP is seeking an experienced Associate or Vice President to join the Structuring Team to work across securitized products asset classes, including commercial and residential real estate, unsecured consumer, auto, equipment, credit cards, student loans, triple net lease, timeshare, aircraft, rail, solar, infrastructure, energy, fund finance, CLO, whole business, intellectual property rights, accounts receivable, SRT, and many other esoteric and innovative asset-backed finance opportunities in support of both direct lending and securitization transactions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Origination Team to source and analyze new asset-backed finance lending and securitization opportunities, including analyzing historical performance and comparables, and building cash flow models for scenario analysis.
- Develop, analyze, and differentiate structuring alternatives for those opportunities, and make recommendations based on client circumstances
- Communicate with internal (Origination, Risk, Committees and Senior Management) and external (lending / underwriting clients and investors) stakeholders to explain collateral performance, cash flow modeling techniques and assumptions, and structural features
- Understand and monitor rating agency methodologies for a wide variety of asset classes and create cash flow models to apply those methodologies
- Analyze collateral pools and create asset cash flow models for base case and stress case scenario analysis
- Learn and develop marketing materials related to securitization (CMBS, RMBS, ABS) offerings for banking, trading, and distribution
Qualification and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the financial industry (investment bank, investment firm, accounting firm or rating agency)
- Previous financial modeling experience
- Knowledge of mathematical techniques and models
- Exposure to quantitative investment strategies
- Strong technical skills, ability to learn new software tools and scripting languages and aptitude for computer programming
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
- Engineering stochastic calculus, computational methods, risk engineering and modelling techniques, database management, and pricing and hedging skills
Base Salary Range
$150,000-$200,000
The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
