Position Overview
The Client Intelligence / Client Strategy Associate will play a critical role in shaping the firm’s approach to client engagement, performance measurement, and strategic opportunity identification. Residing within our Business Services team under the Business Management organization, this role will develop and deliver client insights that enhance connectivity across business lines and improve visibility and service opportunities for our clients. The successful candidate will combine analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and relationship management skills to enhance client partnerships and drive growth.
Primary Responsibilities
Client Intelligence & Metrics
- Design, generate, and track key performance metrics for clients across the firm’s business lines.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and service gaps through analysis of client data.
- Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to provide timely and actionable intelligence to senior management and client-facing teams.
Strategic Client Connectivity
- Create a consolidated view of client engagement across products and services, improving cross-firm visibility and collaboration.
- Partner with business line leaders to uncover cross-selling opportunities and areas where client service can be enhanced.
- Support senior leadership with insights and recommendations to inform client strategy.
- Develop and maintain client “tear sheets” that summarize key account data, transaction history, and strategic insights for senior stakeholders.
- Support client meeting preparation by providing tailored materials and analytics to enhance engagement and relationship-building.
Thought Leadership & Relationship Management
- Serve as a subject matter expert on client metrics and intelligence, providing guidance on best practices.
- Collaborate closely with relationship managers, product teams, and senior leadership to embed client intelligence into decision-making.
- Engage directly with select clients, where appropriate, to validate insights and ensure alignment with client needs.
Technology & Innovation
- Work closely with the technology team to design and implement automated solutions for data capture, reporting, and analytics.
- Contribute to the development of scalable tools that improve efficiency and accuracy in client performance tracking.
- Drive continuous improvement of systems and processes to enhance client intelligence capabilities.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in client strategy, business management, and/or analytics within a financial services firm.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with performance measurement, client segmentation, and financial products across asset classes.
- Hands-on experience with relationship management platforms such as Salesforce, DealCloud, or similar CRM systems.
- Ability to interpret client data and contribution metrics to inform sales and origination strategies.
- Experience in developing client intelligence tools such as tear sheets and performance dashboards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to internal (senior) management and external clients.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across business lines and functional teams.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and proficiency in Excel required, familiarity with SQL or Python a plus.
Base Salary Range
$150,000-$225,000
The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
