Position Overview
ATLAS SP is seeking a Mortgage Finance Operations Associate to support the Residential and Commercial Mortgage Finance Operations team. This role will have increased ownership and accountability across client service, loan management, cash settlement, and cash reconciliation for the Residential and Commercial mortgage portfolios.
The Associate will work closely with Front Office, Product Control, Finance, Treasury, and third-party vendors to support the day-to-day operations of the Residential and Commercial Real Estate Warehouse businesses. This individual is expected to partner cross-functionally to help design and implement process improvements, strengthen controls, and deliver an exceptional client experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and process wire and other payment activity for Residential and CRE Warehouse clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships while delivering high-quality operational support
- Maintain and enhance a strong control environment, including account reconciliations, account ownership, issue resolution, and control metrics
- Provide operational support across multiple asset classes within the Residential and CRE Warehouse platform
- Manage and review client invoicing activity, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
- Lead or contribute to initiatives focused on streamlining operational workflows and improving process efficiency
- Partner with Front Office teams and vendors to support new business initiatives, client onboarding, and product enhancements
- Identify operational risks and proactively recommend solutions or process improvements
- Actively contribute to a collaborative team culture and provide guidance or support to junior team members as needed
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in financial services operations; experience with Securitized Products or Warehouse Operations strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex workflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders across multiple levels
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in mortgage finance, structured products, or real estate finance operations
- Working knowledge of the ProMerit warehouse lending system (SitusAMC) or similar industry platforms
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze data and present findings clearly
- Experience supporting process improvement, automation, or control enhancement initiatives
The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
