Reporting to Global AP Manager, the AP Analyst supports Company’s global payable operations, accurate and timely invoices posting into the accounting system, vendors payments, and working with the Treasury on AP payments process, as required. This individual will be a part of the process in an effort to ensure the overall payables cycle is optimized, assisting in responding to accounts payable inquiries for resolution of payments / billing issues or for information or interpretation from third parties. The AP Analyst will work with various team members in a collaborative environment to improve business processes, training materials, data clean-up, and on-going support. This position’s location is flexible – remote elsewhere in Latin Americas’ region, or hybrid mode for the office in Colombia.
Responsibilities
· Maintain AP master data and accurate records for compliance and operations purposes
· Follow vendor management process, analyze and reconcile accounts payable data and transactions in a timely manner; initiate contact with various parties regarding accounts payable invoices as needed
· Control adherence with invoice match process between the systems involved and make sure flow of the information as required
· Registering invoices in internal Payment systems according to specifics and tax requirements in America, Europe and other regions
· Reconcile vendor statements, prepare payment runs for approval
· Prepare documents and financial information for external accountants as required
· Participate in month-end close process as required
Qualifications and Skills
· Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field is preferred
· Minimum of 3 years of increasingly responsible experience in accounts payable, general accounting or other related experience is required
· Experience with payables in Services industry, Payroll and global operations services is a plus
· Advanced knowledge of computer system, especially Excel,
· Tax knowledge is highly advantageous
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
· Must be detail oriented with an eye for finding mistakes
· Good organizational, time management, customer service skills, ability to multitask
· Ability to work well as part of a team
· Must be able to pass a background check
