About the Role
We’re looking for a Director of Global Payroll Transformation to lead the strategic vision and transformation of our global payroll operations. This leader will drive process optimization, vendor strategy, and operational excellence across payroll delivery in more than 160 countries.
You’ll combine deep payroll expertise with a strong background in process improvement, implementation, and global program management—partnering closely with our global payroll team leadership to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll execution worldwide.
What You’ll Do
- Define and deliver the global payroll transformation strategy aligned with business goals and compliance standards.
- Lead global initiatives to improve payroll accuracy, scalability, and automation
- Establish a governance framework for payroll processes, controls, and reporting.
- Standardize global payroll processes and policies to drive consistency and efficiency.
- Lead transformation projects, including vendor consolidation and systems integration.
- Manage relationships with payroll vendors to ensure optimal service, compliance, and cost management.
- Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and IT to ensure seamless payroll operations and data integrity.
- Drive change management efforts to ensure adoption of new processes and tools across global teams.
Key Requirements
Required:
- 10+ years of progressive experience leading payroll operations, with strong global exposure, including experience leading large, global payroll implementations
- Proven track record in global payroll transformation and process improvement
- Deep understanding of global payroll compliance, taxation, and employment legislation.
Preferred:
- Experience in multinational environments (Americas, EMEA, APAC).
- Background in consulting or advisory work related to payroll or HR transformation.
- Payroll certification (CPP, GPP, or equivalent).
- Strategic and execution-driven leadership
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Proven change management capability
- Ability to navigate complexity and influence across global teams
