Atlas is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Global Payroll Implementation Project Manager to lead end-to-end payroll implementation projects across multiple countries on the Atlas HXM platform. This role focuses exclusively on global payroll delivery—ensuring seamless migrations, accurate configuration, and compliance with all local and international payroll requirements.
The Global Payroll Implementation Project Manager serves as the key liaison between stakeholders, vendor partners, and internal teams—driving successful project execution through strong vendor management, clear communication, and meticulous coordination. This role ensures that every payroll project is delivered on time, with data integrity, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end global payroll implementation projects across multiple countries, ensuring accurate setup, configuration, and testing of payroll systems and processes.
- Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, establish project objectives, and deliver successful migration outcomes.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within scope.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during payroll migration, managing timelines, expectations, and deliverables.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Product, Operations, Compliance, and Customer Success to align activities and resolve issues efficiently.
- Monitor and report project(s) progress through clear, consistent updates to stakeholders, identifying potential challenges early and driving timely resolutions.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, promoting accountability, open communication, and continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Contribute to process optimization and standardization, leveraging lessons learned to improve project/program management frameworks and outcomes.
- Facilitate change management efforts by preparing internal teams for new processes, tools, and workflows.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in payroll management, with at least 3 years in implementation, migration, or client transition roles.
- Demonstrated success in end-to-end project management, from scoping and planning through execution, testing, and go-live.
- Strong understanding of global payroll operations, including statutory compliance, country-specific regulations, and multi-currency payroll processing.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional project teams across HR, Finance, IT, Product, and Compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels—clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Highly organized with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment, balancing multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities.
