Sales Training Associate

What is a Sales Training Associate?
The Sales Training Associate (STA) Program is an immersive and comprehensive 6–12-month program designed to introduce new college graduates to AtriCure and the medical device industry. As a Sales Training Associate, you’ll gain the clinical knowledge, business acumen, and field experience needed to build a strong foundation for long-term success in the competitive and rewarding medical device industry.
Through our Sales Training Excellence Program, you’ll learn directly from the Global Training and Education team, Sales Managers, Territory Managers and experienced Field Clinical Specialists while gaining exposure to customers, procedures, and the day-to-day realities of supporting a growing medical device business. Through our Sales Training Excellence Program, you will be trained via classroom training, cadaver labs, and through engagement with experienced field team members and other health care customers.
Upon successfully completing and graduating from the STA Program, the STA will be eligible to move into a Clinical Specialist role within one of our three franchises. This will be contingent upon the availability of a position and may be located anywhere within the US. The STA Program is focused on developing and building the fundamental clinical and business skills necessary to drive business growth and procedural adoption in the field.
What You’ll Gain In This Role:
Throughout the program, you will:
- Develop a strong foundation in clinical concepts, products, procedures, and disease states
- Gain hands-on field experience alongside experienced sales and clinical professionals
- Build the communication, customer engagement, and business skills needed to succeed in a field-based role
- Learn how clinical expertise and commercial strategy work together to support procedural adoption and business growth
- Receive coaching, mentorship, and ongoing feedback from experienced leaders and field professionals
- Prepare for the next step in your career as a Clinical Specialist
During the 6–12-month period, the STA will be required to meet predetermined milestones, which include, but are not limited to:
- Passing AFE & PFE training in all procedural segments
- Completing confidence lab requirements demonstrating the ability to support clinical cases
- Support 30 procedures in hospital operating rooms via field shadowing experiences (locations will vary)
- Conducting in-services and other presentations required by designated accounts
What You Bring
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree attained from an accredited university/college between May 2026 and December 2026 is required.
- Ability to start work on a full-time basis January 4, 2027 (relocation completed by start date).
- As a part of the STA Program, relocation to the designated home office in Mason (Cincinnati), Ohio is required.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the United States is required.
- Experience through an internship or part-time employment in a sales or clinical environment is highly preferred.
- Completion of school-sponsored selling skills program is preferred.
- Strong track record of academic and other successes is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities.
- A valid driver's license issued in the United States and in good standing is required. You must successfully complete a background investigation, including a review of your driving record history.
- Willingness and ability to relocate geographically within the United States is required.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

For this entry-level position, the salary is $65,000. As a full-time AtriCure employee, you will be eligible to participate in our standard employee benefits plan and corporate incentive plan.
