POSITION SUMMARY

The Benefits Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration, analysis, and delivery of employee benefits programs that promote the health, financial security, and well-being of employees. This role serves as a key resource for benefits operations, employee support, vendor management, compliance activities, and data analytics. The Benefits Analyst partners closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, external vendors, and employees to ensure benefit programs are administered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations. The role also supports annual enrollment activities, benefits communications, and ongoing program improvements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

  • Administer and support employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, wellness, retirement, leave, and voluntary benefits.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to benefit plans, eligibility, enrollments, qualifying life events, and claims issues.
  • Maintain employee benefits records and ensure data integrity within HRIS and benefits administration systems.
  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and employer contributions.
  • Support annual open enrollment by assisting with system configuration, employee communications, educational materials, and enrollment audits.
  • Support the planning and execution of benefits fairs, webinars, and employee information sessions.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees, insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators.
  • Assist with vendor issue resolution and monitor service-level performance.
  • Support the administration of Company leave programs and serve as point of contact for employees, managers and liaison with leave administrators as needed.
  • Maintain benefits policies, procedures, plan documents, other employee documents and audit records.
  • Support implementation of new benefit programs and system enhancements.
  • Analyze benefits data, utilization trends, participation metrics, leave utilization and costs to support decision-making.

Identify opportunities to improve benefits administration processes and employee experience.

  • Manage day-to-day activities including management of programs like recognition, wellbeing, service awards etc.
  • Stay informed on emerging benefits trends, legislative changes, and market practices.
  • Participate in other total rewards related projects and cross-functional initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration or a similar analytical role.
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and leave administration.
  • Understanding of benefits-related compliance requirements, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and Section 125 regulations.
  • Experience with Dayforce HRIS or similar benefits administration platforms.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or similar certification preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present data
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external vendors, brokers, and carriers.
  • Experience managing open enrollment, plan renewals, and compliance filings.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as needed
  • Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull as needed
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
