
Senior Operations Analyst
ABOUT THE TEAM
Atropos clean sheet designs, builds, and operates unmanned weapon systems for the Department of Defense and its partners and allies. With a focus on serving as the interface between government mission stakeholders and the engineering team in order to allow Atropos to gain conviction in our technical designs and operating models, the Senior Operations Analyst will join an elite engineering team tasked with designing and building a fleet of autonomous weapon systems.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Operations Analyst at Atropos, you will support our development and deployments tasks as a part of a zero-to-one build of a foundational Operations Analysis team that will guide business strategy and inform our Model Based System Engineering team. Your inputs on threat and friendly operations will enable rigorous analytical products which will be used to guide product development and enable us to gain confidence in investing in designs that have real operational impacts.
You will be an operations analysis utility player and will interface with stakeholders including the internal engineering and growth teams, as well as external customers. You will carefully listen to stakeholder needs and then design rigorous math and physics analyses leading to clear and compelling value propositions that are based on real world threat projections and real world operating models.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop model-driven analysis (and often the models themselves)
- Guide product engineering and business investment via a deep understanding of how Atropos platforms operate within the threat and friendly operating systems
- Utilize M&S capabilities to develop your analyses that give Atropos conviction in our products and an advantage over competitors
- Grow an operations analysis team that is responsible for performing mission analysis (operational, architectural, and predictive) and wargame support for matters of national and international importance
- Develop TTPs and SOPs for the employment and sustainment of Atropos unmanned weapon systems
- Develop and execute defense wargames that host Atropos weapon systems
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Military mission MS&A experience. For example, working knowledge of OCA/DCA, ISR, SEAD/DEAD, Electronic Attack, or Long Range Fires missions
- Unmanned Aerial Weapon System MS&A experience— for example, value proposition analyses comparisons involving aero, fuel, and signature modeling
- Payload MS&A experience— for example, physics-based trade-space analyses for radar, EOIR, communications, or weapons payloads.
- 4+ years AFSIM scripting experience— the more, the better
- Outstanding communication skills to include visual presentation of complex data
- Proficiency with physics-math scripting of your choice (e.g., MATLAB, SIMULINK, Python+numpy, scipy)
- 5+ years in relevant Science and/or Engineering related field
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in start-up, or equivalent fast paced culture
- Experience supporting end-to-end aircraft development, from design through operations
- Cost and Logistics MS&A experience— for example, life cycle, operations, and sustainment modeling
- AFSIM Developer Training or AFSIM Plug-in development experience
- Exceptional proficiency with physics-math scripting of your choice (e.g., MATLAB, SIMULINK, Python+numpy, scipy)
US Salary Range
$155,000 to 215,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
