Salesforce Data Migration Lead (Higher Education/Advancement Ascend)

What You Will Do
The candidate will be responsible for leading data migration and integration projects through the requirements definition and solution design phases. The candidate will be responsible for the overall solution design to meet the business requirements and fulfill user stories, and for leading a team of resources through the build, test, and deployment phases for data migrations and integrations. The candidate must demonstrate progressive leadership in the full life cycle of the software development environment.
Through user story definition, logical data model design, functional system design, and best-practice methodologies, you will be responsible for the detailed design of enterprise-level Salesforce and related technology projects from inception through production support. You will be responsible for providing industry best practices as a trusted advisor to key business and technology stakeholders and identifying areas of product growth.
Required Skills
- Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product suite – preferably the Ascend managed package – in relation to data structure and data model.
- Extensive experience with cloud-based higher education and nonprofit fundraising systems such as Ellucian’s Advance product or Raiser's Edge, both end-user interaction and the underlying data structures.
- Experience and working knowledge of Higher Education Advancement business operations such as: prospect management, annual giving, major gift giving, planned gifts, donor stewardship, gift receipting, and pledge reminders.
- Extensive experience in the technical migration from legacy CRM platforms to state-of-the-art solutions such as UCI’s ascend. This includes data migrations, system integrations, reporting, testing, and deployment.
- 10+ years direct experience in software development life cycle.
- 5-8 years’ experience in implementing data integration and migration processes with Salesforce-based CRM systems.
- Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of best-practiced migration and integration projects.
- Extensive experience with ETL, data transformations, SQL, and RDBMS platforms, in particular Oracle RDBMS
- Experience in documenting current state business processes and wireframing system designs using process flow diagram tools, sequence diagrams, etc. as well as making recommendations for future state improved processes and system designs.
- A strong background in database design and system architecture.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems, as well as working with ETL integration tools such as Oracle SQL Developer and MuleSoft.
- Expert level understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.
- Salesforce Admin Certification.
Desired Skills
- Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of best-practiced migration and integration projects
- Higher Education, Nonprofit Cloud certifications (desired but not required)
- Project management skills and experience in managing teams
- Knowledge of Document Management Solutions and their interaction with CRMs systems.
- Experience managing staff including making staffing decision and facilitating employee career development
- Experience with managing the development and delivery of 3rd party software to clients
- Strong knowledge of data management, including data capture, warehousing, segmentation, storing, cleansing, and security
- Strong knowledge of CRM software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
- Must have excellent oral and written communication, presenting, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making, and problem solving skills
- Must be a team player as demonstrated through a customer qualification of a large scale/enterprise implementation with multiple workstreams

Attain Partners is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Individual base salary for this position is unique to each candidate and will be commensurate with experience, education, and skills, ranging from $170,000 - $200,000. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
