What You Will Do:
Attain Partners is searching for a Grants Management Workday PMO Lead who can effectively assist in a Workday implementation of Workday Grants. The role of this Lead will involve assisting functional area leads with servings as the experts for the grants management functional area for universities and research institutions. They should have a strong understanding of grants management processes from a semi-technical and functional perspective to aid in the appropriate management of building the grants management solution for universities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive work plan defining detail tasks and responsibilities
- Develop a roadmap and schedule for Research ERP transformation which aligns and fits into the overall ERP Transformation Schedule.
- Conduct a gap analysis of the current ERP system and the requirements for the new system in terms of research administration and peripheral systems.
- Document the current state of research administration processes, including existing system functionality, data flows, and business processes.
- Provide recommendations for Workday system configuration, customization, and integration with other systems.
- Make best practice and functional thought leader contributions, supporting the organization in making configuration, integration, and other implementation decisions.
- Develop a plan (concept, approach, requirements) for data migration and cleansing from the existing system to the new system.
- Advise on necessary process changes to optimize efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Advise on setting up affiliate pay with practice plans/academic partners, effort planning and management including defining pay rates, billing and payment processes, effort certification, cost distribution (to sponsored projects and other support sources) and necessary workflow changes and documentation required for compliance.
- Participation in confirmation sessions to sign off on workflows for research administration processes in the new system.
- Provide documentation on system functionality and processes for future reference
- Provide support during the testing and deployment phases of the project.
- Bring best practice and industry comparable to the development of a post go live staffing model for Research WD ERP engagement and support
- Participation in milestone events and meetings which would be valuable from a Research Administration perspective.
- Participate and provide expertise in the discovery, architect, and solution sessions of the implementation
- Articulate unique institutional business functional and technical requirements to support the overall design and decision-making process for client as it relates to grants management
- Weigh in on proposed solutions, including providing input (sample data, reports, policies), options and/or recommendations, to support the functional area decision making process, as needed
- Review and provide feedback on detailed business and technical requirements, business process flows, configuration set ups, and deliverables, as needed
- Possess deep grants management expertise, specifically in the following areas:
- Grants and contracts award management (pre- and post-award)
- Grants and contracts business process modernization
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Workday Grants Implementation Experience within Higher Education
- Experience in Workday Effort Certification/Research Administration within university settings
- Ability to work collaboratively in a project team
- Effective written and verbal communications a must, with presentation experience
Desired:
- Master's Degree preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships with clients
