Data Engineer
Technology & Analytics | The Builders and Translators
We are a 1,000-piece puzzle.
Each of us is essential, interconnected, and intentionally designed. Together we create something powerful: media that matters, growth that lasts, and a culture we are proud to build.
As part of our Technology & Analytics team, the Builders and Translators, you help design the systems that turn complexity into clarity and data into action. Your work connects strategy to execution, ensuring our insights are scalable, reliable, and ready to move the business forward. In this role, you will modernize the infrastructure that powers planning, activation, attribution, and optimization across the agency, building systems that make teams faster, smarter, and more connected.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Data Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in building, modernizing, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers Attention Arc's media and analytics ecosystem. This role requires deep experience working with advertising technology and data across Google Marketing Platform, specifically Display & Video 360 (DV360) and Campaign Manager 360 (CM360). You will partner across disciplines to build scalable systems, improve workflows, and ensure media data moves efficiently from activation through reporting, attribution, and optimization.
This is not a general data engineering role. We're looking for someone who understands how advertising data flows through a media agency and has firsthand experience supporting media teams, campaign reporting, measurement, and attribution.
Key Responsibilities
-
Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest and process data from internal systems, media platforms, and third-party vendors.
-
Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines that ingest, transform, and reconcile data from Display & Video 360 (DV360), Campaign Manager 360 (CM360), and other digital advertising platforms.
-
Design scalable integrations between Google Marketing Platform products, internal data warehouses, and reporting solutions that support campaign performance, attribution, optimization, and business intelligence.
-
Partner closely with Media, Ad Operations, Analytics, and Technology teams to ensure advertising platform data is accurate, complete, and available for business decision making.
-
Troubleshoot data discrepancies across trafficking, ad serving, media buying, and reporting platforms.
-
Refactor and modernize legacy workflows to reduce complexity, improve reliability, and streamline onboarding and maintenance.
-
Standardize data pipelines and integration frameworks to support scalable and repeatable client implementations.
-
Manage and optimize workflow orchestration tools, including Airflow and related automation frameworks.
-
Develop and maintain high-performance relational and analytical data models that support reporting, planning, optimization, and attribution.
-
Build and support Microsoft SQL Server environments and integrations with internal and external systems.
-
Ensure best practices for database security, backup and recovery, performance monitoring, and data quality.
-
Create and maintain reporting tables, views, and data structures used across the agency.
-
Support tracking, tagging, and measurement infrastructure, including JavaScript implementations and vendor pixel management.
-
Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot attribution and measurement solutions.
-
Support privacy-conscious measurement strategies, identity frameworks, and evolving advertising technologies.
-
Automate repetitive workflows using scripting, orchestration, and tooling solutions to improve efficiency and consistency.
-
Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and modern data platforms to improve scalability and business impact.
-
Collaborate closely with analysts, planners, activation teams, developers, and client teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
-
Establish and document best practices for data engineering, systems architecture, and workflow design.
-
Maintain clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
