Role Overview
The Business Operations Associate & Event Planner is a dual-role position that ensures seamless internal operations while planning and executing impactful company events. This individual will provide administrative and logistical support to internal teams, coordinate cross-functional workflows, and lead the execution of employee engagement activities, retreats, and company-wide events. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Operational Support
- Support daily administrative functions for internal operations
- Assist with internal process documentation, project tracking, and workflow improvements
- Act as backup support to Executive Assistants and assist with calendaring, travel, and logistics as needed
- Coordinate technology access logistics for new hires in partnership with People & Talent
- Manage internal tools and platforms used for scheduling, communications, and reporting
- Provide excellent internal customer service to employees and leadership
- Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and propose solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and promote a culture of excellence
- Provide administrative support for ad hoc projects
Event Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute company-wide events including (4) annual regional gatherings, US annual retreat, and regional coworking days
- Develop event timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships
- Coordinate logistics such as venues, travel, meals, supplies, communications, and agendas
- Act as on-site or virtual point of contact during events to ensure smooth execution
- Solicit and analyze feedback to continuously improve event experiences
Collaboration
- Maintain Slack channels, Monday boards, and other internal and client collaboration tools
- Facilitate internal meetings, including: All Hands, Water Coolers, Game Nights, Lunch & Learns, Collaboration calls
- Administer reward and recognition programs
Requirements
- Strong skills in streamlining operations, problem solving, and team building
- Proven experience in managing large-scale events from initiation to completion
- Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and drive implementation of process improvements
- Strong tech experience in the following preferred: Monday, Slack, Google Workspace, Dropbox, Lastpass, Rippling, and Bizinta
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Experience managing vendors and budgets preferred
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence and self-awareness in interpersonal interactions
Education & Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in operations, administration, or event planning roles
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience, required
- Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced experience in Excel required.
- Experience with Monday.com, Bizinta, Rippling - preferred

Location/Travel
- Remote – Pacific Time Zone
- Ability to travel at least twice a year for All-Staff Retreats & Regional Meetups
Reports To: VP
Salary Range: $85,000-$115,000 per year, plus bonus (based on experience)
Position Status: Full-Time Exempt
