Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties professionally and works closely with management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, Open Enrollment, employee support/relations, reporting and analysis, and wellness initiatives. Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
- Benefits Administration:
- Manage day-to-day operations of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
- Oversee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations in HRIS and vendor systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries and plan details.
- Open Enrollment:
- Coordinate and administer annual benefits open enrollment, including communication, system updates, and enrollment assistance.
- Prepare and distribute benefits guides, presentations, and related materials to employees.
- Employee Support/Relations:
- Presenting virtual on benefit information.
- Educate employees on available benefits and assist with enrollment, troubleshooting, and understanding plan options.
- Handle sensitive employee benefits situations with discretion and empathy.
- Offboarding
- Provide employee letter of benefit termination.
- Provide employee Cobra support, if any assistance needed with election.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Maintain accurate records of employee benefits in the HRIS and generate reports on participation, costs, and utilization.
- Analyze benefits usage trends and provide recommendations for plan adjustments to maintain competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Wellness Initiatives:
- Lead or participate in wellness initiatives, benefits surveys, and other projects to enhance employee satisfaction and well-being.
- Work closely with Human Resources team to provide world class programs and service to the organization.
- Provide miscellaneous HR support for operations management staff.
- Ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Three (3) plus years of experience in Human Resources, with a minimum of 1 years specifically in benefits.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
- Proficient in MS Office and Windows Programs.
- Experience negotiating with vendors and managing them accordingly.
- ADP experience is a plus.
Expected Salary Range
$55,000-$75,000
